Queen Of Snow

Just when I thought the winter would be gone... fresh new snow buried the spring flowers underneath a little white blanket. But -even when currently an unwanted guest- all things have something positive, even a winter landscape. When watching the editorial bellow (as published in Vogue Korea, january 2012) then winter snow suddenly becomes way more romantic again!

When watching these Mongolian nomad pictures of Liu Wen (by Greg Kadel for German Vogue, November 2010 issue), I totally feel like wanting to be beamed -even if just for one day- to a Mongolian desert landscape, stretching as far as the eye can see... with nothing but a light blue sky, dusty desert colors and bright red cheeks...

Chen Man for i-D magazine

To Celebrate Chinese New Year, i-D Magazine collaborated with young Beijing-born Chinese photographer Chen Man. She created these 12 covers for the Spring issue. The portraits are beautiful works of art that celebrate the diversity of Chinese beauty. This while also mixing traditional jewelry, hairstyles and make up with a contemporary touch... which I totally love!
